Painting Amethyst from Nightshift by Exotic Cancer
The fourth of the girls from this game.
For Amethyst, there will be a few more steps, and you'll definitely need a brush with a finer tip to do some of the more fiddlier bits.
Step 1
As always, prime with a matt black spray and brush on matt black to cover the bits you missed.
Step 2
We're not going to try anything fancy and artistic for Amethyst like we did with Sapphire (though, if you wanted to, you could follow the same steps for the skin but replace the blue wash for a purple one).
Very simple, two thin coats of Topaz Skin from the Army Painter.
Step 3
Give the figure a quick shading with Soft Skin Wash to stain the skin and add shadows to the deepest recesses, then leave to dry.
Step 4
Highlight back up with Topaz Skin, making sure to leave the deepest recesses alone.
Step 5
Colour the hair with Vallejo Game Colour Royal Purple
Step 6
Give the hair a wash using Druchii Violet
Step 7
Using a fine-tipped brush, line the BDSM straps using a matt black
Step 8
We're going to do a little trick I do as a way to avoid highlighting black, as that can be a bit of a bother to do.
Paint the boots using a dark grey, I like to use Skavenblight Dinge for this. It's an-off black that takes well to being stained with a wash.
(Skaveblight Dinge is a colour I like a lot, so much so that I transferred it to a dropper bottle, instead of continuing to use the original Citadel pots, which are designed to spill and clog up in order to make you buy more paint)Step 9
Once the boots have been done with grey, give them an all-over wash/stain with black, and leave to dry.
Step 10
Once the boots have dried out, take the Royal Purple from earlier and paint the bra, panties and straps on the boots.
Step 11
Highlight the bra and panties with Hexed Lichen, making sure to leave the deepest recesses in the Royal Purple colour.
Step 12
For some slight confusion, we're going to take Vallejo Model Colour Royal Purple (yes, it has the same name as the purple we used before, but it's a lighter shade) and do another highlight on the bra and panties, leaving parts of the Hexed Lichen still visible.
Step 13
For the final step, we base Amethyst the same way we've based all the other girls: Bonewhite and Stone Grey checkers, lined with a black pen, paint the rim with Hexed Lichen, then apply a matt varnish.
